How does Dress Hire AU work?

Once you have found the perfect dress simply use the calendar to place your booking. Select your size and then choose the date you would like the dress to be delivered. We recommend selecting a delivery date 1-2 days before your event. You can select to have the dress posted to you or to pick up at our Carrum Downs warehouse. All postage orders include a return satchel to post the dress back in. If you are unsure if a particular dress is available or not please email us.

When is the warehouse open?

We are open Monday 9-3, Tuesday 10-4, Wednesday 2-8, Thursday 10-8, Friday 10-6, Saturday 10-4.  Due to high demand enquiries currently only by appointment.

Can I try the dresses on?

Yes of course! You are welcome to visit our Carrum Downs Warehouse during our opening hours for try ons.

How long can I hire a dress for?

Bookings can be made for 4 or 8 days. The first day of your booking is the day the dress arrives and the final day is the day the dress needs to be posted back.

What if my dress doesn't fit?

Head to our returns portal (click here) to complete a return request. Then post your hire back within 24 hours of delivery and we will issue a credit note once the dress is returned to us in its original condition.

PURCHASES OF SALE ITEMS ARE FINAL AND CANNOT BE RETURNED/EXCHANGED

Do I have to clean the dress?

No, we take care of the cleaning for you! Simply place your dress into the pre-paid package and drop it at your local Post Office or yellow Express Postal Box.

When should I make reservation for a dress?

We recommend you set your delivery date for 1 – 2 days before your event.

What if I damage the dress?

We understand that accidents happen, and as such we provide free $100 insurance for peace of mind. If you do damage the dress in any way please contact us immediately (hello@stylusdresshire.com.au). If the dress is not repairable, unfortunately, you will be charged the replacement value of the dress; as per the amount on our website.

What if I need to change or cancel my order?

If you need to cancel your order or make any changes please email hello@stylusdresshire.com.au

Please note we only offer store credits. For all cancellations there is a $30 cancelation fee.

Do you offer a backup dress?

DELIVERY

Do I have to sign for my order?

No, you don’t personally have to. Anyone at the address at the time of delivery can sign on your behalf.

HOW CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?

Yes, please email our customer service team and we will provide tracking information so you can see when your package is on it’s way to you. As soon as your order has been shipped an automative email will be sent to you to let you know your order is on its way.

How much does delivery cost?

Express Delivery Aus wide ranges from $15.95 - $20.95 depending on the weight of the parcel.

I would like to order a dress last minute, will I receive it in time for the weekend!?

There is no shame in leaving things to the last minute (we all do it!). Orders placed before 3pm (AEST) will be despatched that day for next day delivery to metropolitan areas located within Australia’s Post next day network. Areas outside of this network will take 2-3 days to be delivered.

How long will my dress take to be delivered?

The estimated express delivery time is 1-2 business days- depending on your location.

Does stylists Dress hire have to store?

There are two options to rent from us. Either rent online anywhere in Australia or rent directly from our Melbourne store.

To rent online:

  1. Find It: Search our selection by filtering by colour, length and trends which means that you will find the best look.
  2. Reserve It: Choose a delivery and return date, the choice is to hire for 4 days or 8 days.
  3. Receive It: The dress will be shipped out via Australian Express Post to your home or office on your delivery date selected.
  4. Return It: Returns are free! Simply place the dress in the provided pre-paid satchel and return it to your nearest Post Office. Don’t worry about dry-cleaning – we’ll take care of that for you.

To rent in store:

  1. Visit our store: Warehouse 2 Cedebe Place, Carom Downs | VIC.
  2. Reserve it: Leave with the perfect dress on the same-day or reserve your favourite style for a future event.
  3. Return it: You are always welcome to our store:)

RETURNS

How do I return my dress?

Simply place your dress in the return pre-paid satchel included in your order and lodge over the counter at an Australia Post Outlet (highly recommended) or place in aYELLOW Express Australia Post Box by 4pm on your return date.

What if I return my dress late?

We rely heavily on timely returns; by posting your dress back late you are potentially inconveniencing another customer. No one wants to be left without a dress so please make sure you return your dress on time! If you return your item(s) late you will incur a thirty dollar ($30.00) late fee for every day you are late up to 200% of the retail value of the dress as indicated on our website. If you are unable to post your item(s) back by 4pm on your return date please contact us at hello@stylusdresshire.com.au

What do I do if I have lost my return satchel?

If you have lost your return satchel, it is your responsibility to send the order back to us via Express Post by the due date at your own expense. Please make sure to forward on tracking details. Our return address is 2 Cedebe Place Carom Downs VIC 3173. If you need assistance, please contact us at hello@stylusdresshire.

What if my hire ends on a Sunday or public or holiday?

Simply return your dress to an Australia Post Outlet by 4pm the following business day.

What do I do if I only have one return satchel but need to send a dress back for a credit note and keep the other dress?

We only include one return satchel per order therefore if you have ordered multiple garments and need to send them back seperately it is your responsibilty to purchase an additional return satchel. Please email hello@stylusdresshire.com.au ASAP for instructions on how to return.
